In Dovetail there's a ton of manual work, besides the inbuilt transcription (which happens automatically) you have to spend a really long time in analysis and synthesis. You have to: 
- Highlighting key quotes in each transcript
- Tagging each quote
- Merging tags (that are too similar) and splitting tags that should be several things
- Organising tags (e.g. grouping similar tags that belong together)
- Taking the organised tags and slotting them into insights
- Writing up the insights (naming them, adding contextual info, adding info about why some tags are attached etc.)

Breyta most of the above with AI automatically.

The magic summary you get in Dovetail and other AI features are typically very generalising and less accurate.

Being able to add context and having a tool that is built around AI from the ground up lets Breyta serve you 95% of the times exact same insights you would find yourself with manual analysis.

In Dovetail you need to do per transcript analysis first, before you can go across a project (multiple separate transcripts)

The general workflow has not changed, it’s still based on coding each transcript.

Everything is still done on a session level. There is no way of processing multiple recordings at once . This means you need to click into each recording, click “translate”. wait. click “summarise”. wait. click “suggest highlights”. wait.

There is no way to see which recordings has been transcribed and processed.
